Kalpana Friends Circle (Charitable
Educational Trust) came into existence in July year 1965 is
44 years old registered public trust, with object of
encouraging musical and recital and cultural activities and
arrange social gathering.
Some of members showed their enthusiasm for social work and
proposed to add something to our "Aims and Objects" by
giving their suggestions and finally it was decided to start
School/College books free library for poor and needy
students at (Ulhasnagar) and surrounding area by providing
books and guides, who are deprived of education just because
they cannot afford to purchase the books due to their poor
Kalpana Friends Circle was the first body in the ulhasnagar
city and near by area which built Free Circulating Library
for High School/college books of all Faculties ( Arts,
Commerce, Science, Later Added Engineering, Medical,
Information Technology, Law, Accounts books for Chartered
To raise the funds 1st charity film show was organised on
9th october'1966 at Regent Talkies ulhasnagar - 421003,
under the supervision of our first president Shri. Kumar F
Mangtani & Secretary Shri. Manu Jawharani & other members
were Shri. Kripal Sahani, Shri Bhagwan Soni, Shri Gopi
Jawhrani, Shri Thaku Jawhrani, Shri. Nandlal Makhija, Shri.
Lal Khatri, Shri Roop Dodeja, Shri Ramesh Khetpal, Shri Taro
Gurnani, Shri Haresh Nagrani, Shri Laxman Motwani, Shri
Choith Sewlani, Shri Shevo Bodhwani, Shri Nand Jaisingh,
Shri.Chandersen Dulani, Shri. Sunder Menda.
On 26th January 1967 circulating Free library was started in
the room no. 13, of B.K No.659, Ulhasnagar - 421002, in the
memory of Late Shri. Takandas H. Kataria. The premises were
given to Kalpana Friends Circle by Seth. Laxmadas S. Mankani
(President of South India Sindhi Federation, Hyderabad) for
free use of this noble cause.
The Opening of Library was done by Shri. Sanmukh Issrani,
(Ex. MLA Ulhasnagar) on the occasion of opening ceremony
following V.I.P's were present:

6. Shri. Nanikram Jaisinghani (Commisioner of Rehabilation
7. Shri. Murli Mirchandani (Advocate)
The above programme was organised by our President of Circle
Shri. Verhomal G. Dudani & Secretary Shri. Kumar Mangtani.
Kalpana Friends Circle is the only charitable trust
providing free books in the ulhasnagar city since its
inception of 44 years.
